They just got a bit greedy and duplicated Armbraces only recently.
Whatever it is i just hope Anet can get to the bottom of it.

Ya - I've done tons of ToPK runs and not as many UW runs and have never netted many ectos [I have literally only had at most approximately 10 ectos in all the time I've played -- & that was saving up for a long time.] Maybe that's normal and maybe not; maybe I should have the Master Unlucky Title of All Time.
But to buy 1,750 ectos for +/- 5K ea. is a lot. There have been thousands of ectos floating around -- even when they were 9k or higher in price. 1,750ectos*9,000gold=15,750,000gold. Are there people who are legitimately that rich in the game??? [That's not sour grapes; I applaud anyone who is rich if they came by it honestly.]
I don't mean to make a bad problem [the Arm Braces] worse by implicating ectos, but I've always wondered where all the ectos came from. And I'm not pointing any fingers... it's obvious someone could have a lot of ectos by selling rares for them. But where did all the ectos come from in the first place?

If they are going to do a rollback they shouldn't be torturing people by letting them keep playing for now. Actually the game shouldn't be running right now, it should be down till the issue is fixed (or temporarily remove the reconnects) - While we are talking about it, some people will be making moar ambraces.
It's been possible to do for a while, and likely has been happening for a very long time. A Rollback simply isn't viable.

Confirmed by multiple people. You can dupe every item using this exploit. They better fix the thing FAST.

I think if they rolled back a month, my entire guild would try to kill anet employees. We were founded, bought a cape, hall, npcs, got some rank, and recruited a loyal base all in the past month. I personally have refitted 2 chars, sold over 300k worth of items, and finished a campaign with a new character. One guy in my guild became high ranked in hero battles, and another r6. One got vanquisher, another legendary survivor. Anet cannot destroy all this with one rollback of a month. As stated earlier, that large a rollback with this month being so big event wise would destroy them.

If this was a legitimate update by Arenanet, that would be comparable. As a bug, it's got no relevance to Faction titles. Arenanet intended to change Faction titles, I sincerely doubt they intended to have a dupe bug in their game.

I think, especially with the Dragon Festival just out of the way, that a rollback is out of the question.

You realise a rollback would remove what happened during the dragon festival and people would have to do it all over again, right?

This, for lack of any better words, sucks.
They really should take out reconnects for the time being. That's the first and most important thing that should be done.
